Fresh off her reign as 2010 Grammy queen — winning a record-breaking six Grammys at Sunday's ceremony — Beyoncé took time to promote her new fragrance 'Heat' last night in Union Square, NYC. It was a family affair with Jay-Z and the Knowles family there for support. Beyoncé's sister Solange Knowles deejayed old school tunes from TLC's hit "Creep" to "Juicy" by Biggie Smalls. "I'm so thrilled to have my own fragrance," Beyoncé told reporters at her event.

"Every little detail reflects my personal style," she added. "It's a very sensual ad and it got steamy but it was still done with elegance."

Beyoncé reminisced about her first time smelling perfumes as a young girl playing dress-up.

OK! POLL: IS BEYONCE TAKING STYLE TIPS FROM RIHANNA?

"My first memory of fragrance was from my mom walking in her stilettos on the hardwood floor, and she'd walk past me and her scent would stay in the room," the songstress said. "It always gave me a warm feeling. All these icons I respect all have their own fragrance so its a big accomplishment for me now to have my own. I wanted to create something that was original and long-lasting."

B said 'Heat' is a mixture of "something fiery that's still sensual and sweet."

"When I think of power, I think heat and being desired. I wanted something for women to feel they can seduce in a fragrance. The most important thing for men to like this fragrance," she continued. "At the Grammys, I sprayed extra on me so people could smell me offstage."

"Jay said to me, you got 6 Grammys and you smell good, too! 'It's all Heat, I said. I hope everyone's ready to catch the fever.' "
