Production was supposed to start today, July 30th, on the show, but since 5 of the main cast members don't have contracts yet for season 8, things are slightly delayed! Jim Parsons, Johnny Galecki, Kaley Cuoco, Simon Helberg and Kunal Nayyar haven't come to an agreement with Warner Bros. TV yet, leaving them with another day to spend at the beach before returning to the set of the CBS show.

While cast members Mayim Bialik and Melissa Rauch have already scored big raises when they recently renewed their contracts, main cast members Parsons, Galecki and Cuoco are seeking a bump up from their $325,000 per episode checks to up to $1 million dollars for each episode. Helberg and Nayyar might not be seeking quite that much, but are definitely looking for big pay raises too.

The first table read was expected to take place today and there's no estimate of how long production could be delayed. Earlier this month co-creator Chuck Lorre told The Hollywood Reporter, "There are people at Warner Bros. Television and people representing the actors who have done this before. This will work itself out. I think it's great; I want them all to be crazy wealthy because nobody deserves it more than this cast. It'll work out."
