Human rights activists and stars Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie showed their support for author Nicholas Kristof and his new book, Half the Sky, at a book party last night at the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood.

Nicholas is a Pulitzer Prize-winning New York Times journalist who has worked tirelessly to shed light on those struggling around the globe. Half the Sky touches on the subject of the oppression of women in Asia and Africa, and how those women can be helped to turn oppression into opportunity.

Brad and Angelina are both vocal advocates of human rights, traveling to countries like Cambodia, Ethiopia, and Iraq as they seek to improve living conditions for those in developing countries.
