Thanks to his role in the new film Moneyball, Brad Pitt has landed the latest cover of Sports Illustrated — but that doesn't mean he knows anything about baseball.

“I was just happy to do Sports Illustrated," the 47-year-old actor tells the magazine (via Just Jared). "To do something other than the fashion-y things, for something I respect, is much more fun.”
Brad may play the general manager of the Oakland A's in the film, but that doesn't mean he knows much about the game.
“It’s shameful how little I know about baseball.... I’m amazed they let me do this movie.... Baseball and I didn’t get along that well. I wrestled one year in high school. I dove one year. Everything but baseball.”

And he hopes he made the goals of the film come true.
“What we were trying to do is tell an unconventional story in the Trojan horse of a conventional baseball movie.”
