As Brad Pitt's assistant on his new zombie thriller, World War Z, Lara Marsden's touchy-feely bond with the star has driven Oscar-winning sex icon Angelina Jolie batty with jealousy. In an exclusive interview in this week's OK!, one of Lara's college classmates says he isn't surprised that the leggy 25-year-old Brit has managed to rock the world's most glamorous couple.

Andrew Blackburn, a photographer who shot a modeling spread with Lara while they were at Doncaster College, says the onetime art student had an almost magical effect on men.

"Lara always had guys following her around who were under her spell, so to speak," Andrew tells OK!. "She had darker skin than most English girls, almsot Mediterranean, and she was taller, with angular features. She didn't mind wearing skimpy clothes and short denim skirts and did a very good job of showing her midriff and long legs."

In 2004 Andrew did a racy promotional shoot with Lara and British boxing champ Junior Witter. Lara jumped at the chance — as Andrew recalls, she was nothing if not ambitious.

"Her family lived in a small, secluded farmhouse, and she wanted something better than that," he says.

When OK! first published photos of Lara getting chummy with Brad on the Malta and UK sets of World War Z , "people who know her just shook their heads," Andrew says.

"There are people with a lot more talent, who work a lot harder, who are getting nowhere, whereas things just seem to fall  into place for Lara. She's using what she's got naturally. It's just because she's good looking."
