Bravo — the network that is home to the Real Housewives franchise — has released a statement on the tragic death of Russell Armstrong — estranged husband of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Taylor Armstrong — who took his own life.
“All of us at Bravo are deeply saddened by this tragic news. Our sympathy and thoughts are with the Armstrong family at this difficult time,” a Bravo spokesperson tells OK!.
Russell, 47, was found dead Monday, hanging in a bedroom at a home on Mulholland Drive in L.A., that is now reported as being his friend’s house.
No suicide note was found. An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday.
The estranged couple have five-year-old daughter Kennedy together.
Taylor filed for divorce from Russell last month, and he opened up to OK! about their separation and pending divorce.
“We still love each other, but after going through counseling it has gotten to the point that the stress is just too much for both of us,” Russell told OK!.
Taylor’s newest co-star on RHOBH Dana Wilkey — who joins the cast for season 2 airing Sept. 5 — released the following statement on Russell’s death.
“My condolences go out to the Armstrong family,” she shared. “I am shocked and devastated, I am here for Taylor Armstrong and Kennedy Armstrong in any capacity that they need me and will do anything in my power to support them as they move through this difficult time.”
