The press release also mentions: "It should be noted that at this point there is no evidence to suggest Mr. Monteith's death was anything other than a most-tragic accident." Indeed.
The Glee star had been open about his struggles with substance abuse in the past, though the nature of the substances was never made clear. He re-entered rehab earlier this year but was released in May. This news comes as especially shocking for Glee fans, who are used to seeing Cory as the innocent, goofy football player Finn Hudson.
