Dancing with the Stars judge Carrie Ann Inaba is looking forward to the upcoming EIF Revlon Run/Walk for Women for a very personal reason: “My mom is a breast cancer survivor," she tells OK!.

"We did it about three years ago and right after she went home after doing the Revlon Run Walk with me, she was diagnosed with cancer," Carrie tells OK! as she gears up for the May 8 event.

"Lily Tartikoff, one of the people who runs the event, was there for me and my mom and helped us go through the whole treatment and gave us recommendations. They really support what they’re saying and it’s been just wonderful so we do it every year now.”

Carrie Ann said of her mother Patricia, “she’s in remission and she’s doing great. She’s happy and healthy and her hair is growing back. I’m lucky. It’s going to be a really good Mother’s Day.”

And it will be a true family affair as Carrie Ann’s boyfriend, Jesse, and his daughter will be attending the event with them. “She’s usually with us because he has full custody.”

When asked if she might walk down the aisle with Jesse, an accountant, Carrie Ann said, “we’re not engaged yet but we always talk about it and it’s interesting because I have no fear about it not happening. It’s almost like it doesn’t need to happen because it’s already happened.
