Much ado about mold! The mother of the late Brittany Murphy has filed a lawsuit against lawyers who represented her in a suit against the builders of the home where the actress passed away. The suit claims the lawyers didn't reveal a potential wrongful death suit due to mold! Yes, mold.

OK! NEWS: BRITTANY MURPHY'S CAUSE OF DEATH RELEASED Although Brittany Murphy died two years ago today and her husband, Simon Monjack, passed five months later, it wasn't until this past summer when Sharon Murphy was selling the house did she realize something may be a bit off.  The issue of toxic mold previously surfaced, but Sharon didn't believe her daughter and son-in-law both could have perished due to mold as a cause of death, as indicated by The Hollywood Reporter. That said, the assistant chief coroner of Los Angeles County looked for evidence of mold during their autopsies and didn't find any. Brittany's death was ruled by pneumonia, anemia and an excess of prescription drugs and her hubby's sudden passing was ruled to have been caused by pneumonia and anemia. OK! NEWS: EXCESS AMOUNTS OF VICODIN PRESCRIBED TO BRITTANY MURPHY Yesterday, the coroner told THR that when Simon died, Sharon didn't believe mold was the cause and better yet, she didn't give the green light for an inspection of the house by the L.A. health department that the coroner specifically requested. So, why the change of heart now? It appears at the time, Sharon was very upset and disturbed about the deaths of her daughter and son-in-law. In the complaint filed yesterday, Sharon charges the attorneys with legal malpractice, breach of contract and breach of fiduciary duty for not informing her that last January, when she accepted the final settlement of an earlier lawsuit, that meant she basically gave up her right to sue for the wrongful death of her daughter due to mold. The five bedroom, 8,000-square foot home was 13 years old and previously owned by Britney Spears. Brittany bought it from the pop star in June 2003 for $3.85 million. In July, the house was sold for $2.7 million and during the last few weeks that she owned the house, Sharon moved to a hotel because she was concerned about the mold.
