Today is the day! Carol Burnett is making her return to Pine Valley on All My Children.

Carol first made her debut as Verla Grubbs on All My Children back in 1983 and continued to make several appearances at the time on the show, Zap2it reports.
In 1995, Burnett reprised her role for All My Children's 25th anniversary and then again in 2005 for the 35th anniversary of the ABC show.
"It is our honor and pleasure to welcome back Carol Burnett to Pine Valley," executive producer Julie Hanan Carruthers said. "Verla Grubbs is a beloved member of the All My Children family and we look forward to reprising her character."

Carol's return this time, however, is bittersweet.
The actress makes her return before the series comes to an end on Sept. 23.
