Just call her a good Samaritan!

American Idol winner Carrie Underwood visited her parents' house during the holidays and pulled over on the median of a highway between Oklahoma and Tennessee to rescue two injured dogs.

One of the dogs' "bloody" and "limping" bodies was moved to her car. Sadly, the other dog died. "My guess is that the dogs were thrown out of their car by their owners on the highway," she explained.
Carrie took the injured dog to the vet to get groomed and even gave her a name — Stella! It sounds like they bonded pretty quickly, as Carrie pointed out the pooch "follows me around from room to room."
After Stella was house trained and her teeth were cleaned, E! News reported she was adopted by some neighbors.
"I cried when she walked out the door," Carrie wrote on her fan website. "[Hubby Mike Fisher] told me not to be a crazy ex-girlfriend about it and stalk them… I cant help it! She deserves the best life ever!" Awww.
