Charlie Sheen can’t hide his antics from the world, or CBS. The Two and Half Men star’s personal life — from a battle with drug addiction to connection with prostitutes to marital problems — has been spread all over the news, and don’t think the network he works for hasn’t noticed. CBS Entertainment President addressed the nation’s TV critics this morning about the troubled actor.
“I personally thought a lot about this,” Nina Tassler said, via Entertainment Weekly. “We have a high level of concern. How can we not? Let me speak personally first. On a very basic human level, I am concerned of course. This man is a father, he has children, he has a family.”
While there may be concern, Charlie’s show Two and a Half Men is a major hit on the network and Tassler made sure to address the actor’s professionalism on set.
“You can’t look at it simplistically,” she explained. “Charlie is a professional. He comes to work, he does his job extremely well. We are taping tonight. It’s very complicated, but we have a very good relationship with Warner Bros. TV. We have tremendous trust and respect with the way they are managing the situation. On a personal level, we obviously have concern. On a professional level, he does his job and he does it well. This show is a hit, that is all have to say.”
The latest string of reports connect Charlie to spending time with porn stars while on a bender in Las Vegas as well as an extreme weight loss noticed in the star.
The reports insinuated Charlie may not show up on set, prompting a response from CBS. Do you think the response is a little too late?
