Charlie Sheen turned to his Twitter recently to suggest ex-wife Denise Richards is a dog thief. But Denise allegedly is the one who rescued the former couple's two dogs from the 45-year-old actor who reportedly abused them.

When the couple split, Charlie took custody of her two pugs (which she had before they were married) so their daughters could play with them when they visited him, TMZ reports. The custody agreement over the pugs remained amicable until Charlie's wild night at the Plaza hotel in NYC.

According to TMZ, Denise was receiving calls that the pugs were "malnourished and neglected" at Charlie's L.A. mansion.

Because of the pups' conditions, Denise regained custody of the dogs, but unfortunately, one of them died of malnutrition.

And now, it comes as no surprise that the unemployed actor wants the surviving dog back.

Why? A source tells TMZ he wants the pooch to serve as the mascot on his tour bus during his live comedy tour starting the beginning of April.

Charlie turned to his Twitter over the weekend to deliver a nasty, cryptic message directed at Denise.

"We must bombard with Warlock Napalm, that traitor and loser whore #DUH -neese POOR-ARD. A VILE KIDNAPPER AND NOW DOG THIEF. HATE."

According to TMZ, Denise remains unfazed by Charlie's claims and a source says she feels since Charlie can't even take care of himself and she's not giving up the pug.
