Chaz Bono Tells Oprah Winfrey "There's No Doubt" About Cher's "Love For Me"

Chaz Bono is sitting down with Oprah Winfrey today in his first interview since becoming a man. Cher's now son explains to Oprah about how his mother is dealing with his transformation.

Chaz explained on The Oprah Winfrey Show today that Cher's acceptance of his transformation took time.

According to Chaz (via E! News), most people assume Cher would be very accepting of her daughter, formerly Chastity, being transgendered because "she has this personality of being so kind of cool about stuff and progressive."

"People forget that she's a parent," he explained.

"The truth is a lot of parents never speak to their transgendered kids again," Chaz added alongside his fiancée Jennifer Elia. "That's not the case in my family. There's not doubt about her love for me."

Chaz has a new memoir, Transition, going on sale this week and a documentary about his experience titled, Becoming Chaz, premieres tomorrow night on OWN.
