We’re heartbroken. The Chicago Code and Traffic Light have been cut by Fox. And those aren’t the only shows to be canceled!
According to The New York Times, five series have been canceled by Fox to make room for new shows including: The Chicago Code, Traffic Light, Lie to Me, Human Target and Breaking In.
While we’re really upset by the cancellation of Traffic Light (the Glee, Raising Hope and Traffic Light line-up was perfection), Shawn Ryan, the executive producer of The Chicago Code has been trying to comfort disappointed fans on Twitter.
“Wow. Thanks for all the kind words everyone,” Shawn wrote. “We tried to make the best show we could and we thank those of you who watched it.”
While we’re still mourning the loss of these shows, Fox has reportedly ordered two new sitcoms, The New Girl, starring Zooey Deschanel, and I Hate My Teenage Daughter, starring Jaime Pressly.
Also, two new dramas have been ordered, Alcatraz from the Lost‘s J.J. Abrams and The Finder, a spin-off of Bones.
The next TV season schedule will be announced at a presentation in NYC next Monday.
