Chris Brown Fails Drug Test at Probation Hearing; Tests Positive For Marijuana

Ah, semantics. Yesterday Chris Brown had a probation hearing in California and, after it was pointed out he failed a drug test, the singer explained that he ingested marijuana in California, where he has a medical marijuana card.

The judge pointed out he was tested in Virginia! Get this: according to GossipCop, the judge said Chris wasn't ordered to have a mandatory drug test in the first place.

Drug test aside, there's an ongoing conversation about his travel restrictions and the number of community-service hours he has already clocked. His attorney told the judge he already served 120 hours, but the judge wasn't able to confirm that due to a lack of records previously requested.

So a new probation-violation hearing has been set for November. After the lawyer said Chris is a little bit tired of probation progress hearings, the judge chuckled.

She told the singer, “This is my advice to you... You are not an average person who can sit in their living room and do what you want to do without anybody watching what you do. You are not only in the public eye, but you are on probation." She added, “I’m going to caution you that you should be very mindful."
