Chris Medina Has Already Recorded a New Song After 'American Idol' Exit

No need to cry, Jennifer Lopez, for kicking Chris Medina off American Idol, he's already performing a new song that was written especially for him!

Were you weeping with J. Lo last night when you watched Chris leave American Idol?

Well, you're in for a special treat tonight!

An original song, "What Are Words," has been written for Chris to perform that was inspired by his emotional story.

Songwriter-producer Rodney Jerkins wrote and produced the song only a few days ago and it will debut tonight digitally following American Idol!

A video was filmed this past weekend and will premiere at 2 p.m. on AOL.com on Friday.

“To go from a mass audition in Milwaukee to the American Idol stage in Hollywood and then to record an original song by and for Rodney Jerkins has been an amazing journey not just for me but for Juliana,” Chris said. “To be able to work in the studio with someone of his stature was a dream come true.”

The 26-year-old shared the story of his fiancée who was severely injured in a car accident just before they were planning to wed.

“When I heard the story of Chris and Juliana, the words and music just flowed," Jerkins said. "Sometimes a song is more than a song and that’s really true with ‘What Are Words.’ ”
