It's hard to believe Cindy Crawford is 46!

The mom of two is looking hotter than ever and she graces the December cover of Shape where she talks about fitness, eating healthy and being a mom.

What makes this moment so special for the supermodel is that back in 1992 she was on the cover of the magazine for the first time and 20 years later she celebrates the memories.

"You take your body and your fitness for granted in your 20’s a lot and to do a Shape cover now at 46 reminds me that all the hard work and all the times that you work out even when you don’t that it all pays off. It’s cumulative. It will catch up to you over the years either in a bad way if you don’t take care of your body, or in a good way. If you do take care of your body, she told the mag.

Cindy is committed to staying in shape and works out with a trainer three times a week, but in addition, she does outdoor activities to break up her routine.

"I try to go hiking once a week and I really love to go with a girlfriend because it’s like therapy plus working out. It reminds me to stop and appreciate that I’m in Malibu and that I have these beautiful surroundings."

She knows not everyone can dedicate the amount of time she does to fitness so she gives this piece of advice for others struggling with finding time in to hit the gym.

"I think a lot of women get in this head that if you don’t have an hour to go to the gym then it’s not worth it but 10 minutes is worth it., 30 minutes is worth it. Whatever you have time for.  It’s better than nothing."

Besides focusing on her work outs to maintain her youthful appearance, Cindy works closely with doctors who specialize in skin care and she shares this suggestion with readers.

"An interesting beauty tip that I got from Dr. Sebagh —  it made me think and a lot of women don’t think this way, but pick the weight you can maintain, so it’s not your skinniest weight , it’s your doable weight, and stay there.  He really feels like when you yo-yo — you lose five pounds, you gain five pounds — that’s really bad for your skin because of the elasticity.  Your skin stretches and then it goes back and then it stretches."

Another piece of info the model gives:

"I think the mistake I see women make is the wrong color foundation. Taking care of your skin is what you put in your body. Drinking a lot of water and of course the healthier you are, the more of a healthy diet you eat I think that shows on your face."
