Corey Haim's Prescriptions Linked to Illegal Drug Ring

After the death of actor Corey Haim on Wednesday, the California State Attorney’s office has launched an investigation into his passing possibly being linked to an illegal drug ring in California.

"Corey Haim's death is yet another tragedy linked to the growing problem of prescription-drug abuse. This problem is increasingly linked to criminal organizations, like the illegal and massive prescription-drug ring under investigation. It's a serious public health problem,” California State Attorney General Jerry Brown revealed in a press release according to Radar Online.

Using stolen prescription pads, the illegal ring sells the paperwork on the street so that medications can be issued without a real doctor’s consent.

Apparently, a prescription was found with Corey’s name attached that had not been authorized leading authorities like Jerry to believe that he may have been involved in an, “illegal and massive prescription-drug ring,” stemming in San Diego.

Corey, who has had a problem with drugs in the past, was reported to have passed away due to a possible overdose.
