Not only does 16-year-old aspiring singer Courtney Alexis Stodden have her mother's blessing on her recent marriage to 51-year-old actor Doug Hutchison, but her father's onboard as well. The 35-year age gap does not bother Alex Stodden, 47, despite the fact that he is four years younger than his new son-in-law.

"Every father can only pray to have such a man behind their daughter," Alex told Radar Online, explaining he gave Courtney his full approval to walk down the aisle with Doug. “Courtney is one of the most levelheaded girls out there, and I’m not just saying that because she’s my daughter."

He added: "Doug is the nicest man I’ve ever met in my life."

Courtney and Doug tied the knot in Vegas on May 20.

He is known for his roles in The Green Mile, Lost and The X-Files, and she is continuing to pursue her music career.

“We’re aware that our vast age difference is extremely controversial,” Doug and Courtney said in a statement to E! News. “But we’re very much in love and want to get the message out there that true love can be ageless.”

Courtney's mother, Krista Stodden, also shared her thoughts on the marriage, and she's in complete agreement with Alex.

“We are totally supportive of this marriage,” Krista told Radar Online. “Doug is a wonderful man and we love him.”

Krista and Alex had to give permission for their young daughter to marry.

“They are very much in love and we are so supportive of this,” Courtney’s mother shared.

She also praised her daughter for being real, and all natural, avoiding plastic surgery.

“She is a beautiful girl,” she said. “She has real breasts, real lips, she’s not plastic.”

And not only is she beautiful, but she remained a virgin until marriage, Krista said, lauding her daughter as a "good Christian girl.”
