Regis Philbin's good friend David Letterman gave him a special farewell tribute last night on Late Show With David Letterman by reliving some of their favorite moments together. But there is one recent memory that Regis wishes he could forget — the time they kissed!

Regis brought photographic evidence of his close encounter with David on the show. David appeared on Live! with Regis and Kelly the previous day and ended up kissing Regis on the lips!
"Look at him. He's closing in on me. And then suddenly it was this," Regis said showing the photo of the lip-to-lip kiss. "Thank you very much! What are we talking about here? Right on the lips! On the lips!"
But Regis did give David a compliment on those lips: "Big lips!" he shouted. "Strong Lips!"

Later in the interview, when David sounded like was wrapping up, Regis said, "I was just wondering if I was going to get another...(pointed to his lips)."

"Why not?" he asked. "Why can't we have one more? One more just for the road!"
"You're a slut," David said.
