Demi Lovato's Allegedly Assaulted Back-Up Dancer Plans to Sue

Just before Demi Lovato decided to enter treatment she allegedly punched her back-up dancer in the face. The dancer, Alex Welch, is now reportedly filing a lawsuit against the Disney star.

According to Radar Online, Alex is seeking medical treatment from a plastic surgeon after her alleged altercation with Demi.

Donald Karpel, Alex's attorney, tells Radar Online that his client needed medical care and she intends to take Demi to court.

"We will be filing a lawsuit next week," Karpel said. "We will be seeking punitive damages for assault, battery and for mental stress."

Does that mean Alex wants her medical bills paid by Demi?

"We are exploring all of our options right now," Karpel explained. "After the attack, Alex had to get emergency treatment. She is now consulting a Beverly Hills ears, nose and throat plastic surgeon."

Although Alex is still seeking medical care, Karpel says she "seems to be doing OK."
