Emma Stone‘s new film The Help has officially hit theaters and for the 22-year-old actress it’s a dream come true!
In The Help, Emma plays Skeeter Phelan who is set on telling the true story of what it’s like to be a black maid in Mississippi in the 1960s.
Emma was able to find some common ground to relate to her character in that she thought she wanted to be a writer growing up.
“When I was younger, I always wanted to be a writer or a journalist, and I don’t think I’d be much good at it, but it was really wonderful to kind of live out that dream through acting,” Emma told MTV News.
And Emma has always been a curious person, too!
“She’s curious about people and curious about her life and is questioning why things are the way they are, and I’ve definitely done that too, as I’m sure everyone has.”
