Is George Clooney Selling His Beloved Lake Como Villa In Italy?

George Clooney is reportedly set to pack up his belongings at his lavish Italian estate because he's tired of being bugged by the paparazzi.

The 51-year-old bought his Lake Como home 10 years ago in a bid to escape from the glare of Hollywood during his down time.

But Italian news program TG 24 claims, via The Hollywood Reporter, that George is selling up his villa because he no longer gets the privacy he desires.

George had grown such close ties with the town of Laglio, where Lake Como is located, that he was made an honorary citizen a couple of years after buying Villa Oleandra.

He even filmed The American in Italy in 2010 after promising to make a movie there in the aftermath of the 2009 earthquake that hit Abruzzo to help the local economy.

As well as deoing business, George has also played there, including spending time with girlfriends ranging from Italian TV personality Elisabetta Canalis to Lisa Snowdon to current paramore Stacy Keiblerwhom he romanced at Lake Como over the summer.

But as one A-lister leaves, another is apparently on the way — reports say Madonna is looking to buy a place in Rome to try to get closer to her Italian roots.
