Grammy Awards Names First Host in Seven Years — LL Cool J!

It's been seven years since the Grammy Awards telecast has had an official host, but in 2012, it will again! Two-time Grammy winner LL Cool J has been named the master of ceremonies this year, after hosting the Grammy nominations concerts since 2008.

"I'm thrilled to be part of music's biggest night," LL Cool J, who has never hosted the live show before, said in a statement. "I will always have fond memories of my first Grammy Awards and to now be hosting the Grammy show, in the company of so many other incredible artists, is a dream come true."

Queen Latifah was the last Grammys host in 2005, with other celebrities like Jon Stewart, Ellen DeGeneres, Billy Crystal and Rosie O'Donnell hosting music's big event over the years.

LL Cool J will be joined on stage by this year's performers, which include Taylor Swift, Nicki Minaj, Kelly Clarkson, Jason Aldean and the Foo Fighters!

The 54th Annual Grammy Awards will be broadcast by CBS from the Staples Center in L.A. on Sunday, Feb. 12.
