'The Hangover Part II' Mike Tyson Tattoo to Be Digitally Altered for DVD After Lawsuit

If you want to see the way The Hangover Part II the way it was intended to be seen, you may want to go check it out in theaters while you can! After a tattoo artist sued Warner Bros. for using a copyrighted face tattoo design given to Mike Tyson in the film, the studio says it will be digitally altered for DVD.

Ed Helms' character sports the face tattoo in The Hangover Part II, but that plot line will have to be slightly altered for the DVD.

On Monday, according to TMZ, Warner Bros filed new documents saying, "Warner Bros. does not intend to make any use of the allegedly infringing tattoo after the film ends its run in the theaters because Warner Bros. will digitally alter the film to substitute a different tattoo on Ed Helms’s face."

In April, S. Victor Whitmill sued the studio claiming copyright infringement on using the tribal face tattoo he gave Mike back in 2003.

The movie's release was refused to to be stopped by a judge, but Whitmill threatened to take the case to trial.

Instead, Warner Bros. says they will alter the tattoo.
