'The Hunger Games' Brings in $68.25 Million on Opening Night

The Hunger Games has officially taken the world by storm! According to new reports, the much anticipated flick placed as the fifth highest-grossing opening day movie on Friday with $68.25 million in North American ticket sales.

Deadline reports that Hunger Games, starring Liam Hemsworth, Josh Hutcherson and Jennifer Lawrence, could potentially rake in $140 million by weekend’s end.

Not to mention that the film broke records in making $19.75 million just on its’ first midnight showings alone.
