Crystal Bowersox's boyfriend Tony supported her every step of the way during her journey on American Idol, so it was a telling moment when he wasn't in the audience during last night's finale. After the show, Crystal spoke to OK! about his absence.

"He's driving somewhere," she told OK!.

"Big Tony... he went home. He wasn't cool with the lifestyle," she explained to Ryan and Kara DioGuardi. "I didn't break up with him... it was a mutual thing."

As they spoke, Tony was on his way home to Toledo, Ohio.

"It's cool though, we're both logical, grown adults," Crystal added. "He's a small town guy and that's fine, I'm a small town girl, but I want this. I want this more than anything, this career, this lifestyle. I didn't think he was up for it... he didn't think he was up for it."
