Isabella and Connor Cruise may be the adopted children of famous exes Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman, but in reality, they only really spend time with their father, his wife Katie Holmes and daughter Suri while their mother raises her two young children, Sunday and Faith, with her husband Keith Urban

So why is this the case? Well although both Isabella and Connor have been very private about their personal lives, Isabella spoke out about Nicole to Australia's New Idea magazine (courtesy of the Daily Mail), explaining that although she doesn't live with or see her mom much, they're still "very close."

"I love my mom. She's my mom. She's great," Isabella said, adding, "I see her sometimes and I speak to her."

Isabella, 19, lived with the Cruises in their Beverly Hills, Calif., mansion up until recently when she moved into an apartment in downtown Los Angeles with her boyfriend, Eddie Frencher

And although the situation between Tom and Nicole seems a bit off, Isabella reassured the magazine that both families are wonderful and happy.

So Nicole may be busy raising her own family in Nashville and Australia, but the actress has always said that she would have loved for both Isabella and Connor to live with her.

"They live with Tom, which is their choice," Nicole admitted in a 2010 interview. "I'd love them to live with us, but what can you do?"
