Isla Fisher Says 'Great Gatsby' Cast Listened to Jay-Z During Filming

Fresh off filming the Great Gatsby, based on F. Scott Fitzgerald’s classic roaring 20’s novel, Isla Fisher revealed the quirky way director Baz Lurhmann helped loosen up everyone on set.

“On my first day Baz had Jay-Z pumped up full and we did the entire scene with Jay-Z in our ear on full blast while acting,” Isla told MTV on Friday, adding “It was just so liberating.”

The Now You See Me actress explained that she needed a bit of work getting into character before using the sounds of Jay-Z to stay comfortable in front of the camera.
“We did a play workshop that was three weeks long,” the 36-year-old said, “Before we even started rehearsals we were immersed entirely in the 1920's.”
