Items Auctioned from Michael Jackson's Home for Over $1 Million

With the passing of the legendary Michael Jackson now over two years ago, many of his personal belongings have become much wanted keepsake items to fans and collectors worldwide. According to new reports, a sale of items from the pop icon’s Holmby Hills home held by Julien's Auctions on Saturday raked in more than $1 million dollars!

E! Online reports that around 500 of Michael’s belongings were auctioned off to various buyers from inside his estate.

One shopper purchased the oriental carpet on which paramedics attempted to help the “Thriller” singer when he was found unconscious on Jun. 25 of 2009 for $15,360.

Other big-ticket items included artwork, antiques, furniture like Michael’s nightstand, and even a chalkboard.
