James Cameron does not agree with the way BP is handling the oil spill disaster plaguing the Gulf of Mexico and threatening to reach the Atlantic. The award-winning director of Avatar and Titanic has taken a stance on the matter, calling the oil conglomerate a bunch of “morons,” after they have rejected his offer to help fight the catastrophic spill.

“Over the last few weeks, I’ve watched, as we all have, with growing horror and heartache, watching what’s happening in the Gulf and thinking those morons don’t know what they’re doing,” James said at the All Things Digital tech conference (via the New York Daily News).

James is very familiar with the subject,  having done extensive work with robot submarines and underwater filming in his movies (Titanic).
