Movies, General Hospital, Oscar host and now art instructor? No one can deny that James Franco is probably one of the busiest multi-taskers in Hollywood. Seems that he just got a whole lot busier after not only announcing his return to the cast of GH but a new gig as guest lecturer at NYC’s MOMA PS1 as well!
According to E! Online, as mentioned on the MOMA website, James will lead “lectures and discussions that bring students together to take part in a new conversation around contemporary practice with artists, authors, musicians, curators, theorists and scholars.”
He’ll actually lead master classes with Milk director, Gus Van Sant. For instance, after Gus showed James numerous deleted scenes and unused footage from the late River Phoenix’s My Own Private Idaho, James persuaded him to create an experimental movie for the exhibition. As such, they’ll reveal their collaboration, My Own Private River, which is being installed in the museum’s main theater.
