Rapper. Business mogul. Proud papa. Is there anything Jay-Z can't do? Seriously, though.
Beyoncé's hubby premiered a 30-second TV spot to celebrate Rocawear clothing and highlight its growth as part of his empire. The clip showcases images of Jay-Z, as the CEO, to the music of one of his earlier songs, "Coming of Age."
His clothing label's been in existence for more than 15 years, but Jay-Z's commercial was the company's first one! His voiceover in the commercial implies that Rome wasn't built in a day and that success takes time to evolve and grow.
He stated, "My goal was to have one gold album and that was it. And then it became; I want to show that an artist can ascend to the executive ranks."
Consider this: The theme of the video is "Marcy to Barclays" and essentially, anything is possible! Jay-Z grew up in the Marcy projects in Brooklyn and now he's invested in the N.J. Nets, which will move to the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
