As Jennifer Aniston starts making the media rounds to promote her upcoming film, The Switch, she’ll be able to breathe a little easier knowing her restraining order request has been granted against her alleged stalker.
Jen’s attorney filed a request for a three-year restraining order against a Pennsylvania man accused of traveling cross-country to ask Jen to marry him, E! News reports.
An L.A. judge granted the request on Monday against 24-year-old Jason Peyton, who is currently behind bars after being busted for loitering around Jen’s home last month.
According to Jen’s complaint, Jason is an “obsessed, mentally ill and delusional stalker” who has a history of violence and drove to California “with a sharp object, a bag, a roll of duct tape and written messages,” believing he’s in a relationship with Jen.
The restraining order bars Jason from coming within 100 yards of Jen’s residences or places of business including those of her managers, agents and various employees.
Police were alerted to Jason after his father tipped off the LAPD.
