Jennifer Garner Lands Mystery Role as 'Miss Marple'

No stranger to solving on-screen mysteries, Jennifer Garner has been cast as a new sleuth! Actually, she landed the leading role as an oldie-but-goodie mystery solver in Miss Marple, a reboot of an Agatha Christie classic. Find out more after the jump!

As reported by Deadline (via Huffington Post), the old character Jane Marple, was literally just that: Old. Disney has decided to replace the British grandmother with a younger, more attractive character, as in Jennifer.

Sounds like this is an ideal fit since Jennifer solved plenty of mysteries in her TV spy show, Alias. It hasn't been determined whether or not the movie will stay within the timeframe from 12 novels written from the 1930s through '70s or take place in the here and now.
