Jennifer Hudson has been very busy this season. Between her music, acting, and taking care of her young son, Jennifer knows how to maintain balanced. The star can now add to her impressive repertoire, performing for President Barack Obama. She is set to take the stage at the first date dinner of the Obama White House tonight, the Associated Press reports.

The Oscar-winning songstress is part of a larger lineup that also includes Indian performers, an administration official tells the AP.

The dinner is for Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and will be held on the South Lawn of the White House to allow the Obamas to invite hundreds more guests than could squeeze into the East Room, which holds a maximum of 140 people.

The event is the hottest ticket in town, and we know Jennifer will belt it out for all.

Jennifer will be making her first appearance in quite some time, in a flick that’s sure to create tons of award show buzz! She is set to star in Winnie, a drama that casts her as the former wife of South Africa’s first black president, Nelson Mandela, Variety reports. The film begins shooting in South Africa, on May 30.

“I was compelled and moved when I read the script,” Jennifer told Variety. “Winnie Mandela is a complex and extraordinary woman and I’m honored to be the actress asked to portray her. This is a powerful part of history that should be told.”
