Jennifer Lopez Is Reportedly Leaving 'American Idol'

Jennifer Lopez is having quite a week! Sure, she was named by Forbes magazine as the most powerful celebrity, but according to recent reports, her American Idol judging days may soon be over.

Sources told E! News exclusively that she's planning on leaving the hit show. One insider revealed, "She's just too busy."

Consider this: J.Lo is touring with Enrique Iglesias this summer in Latin America and the U.S., then in the fall she'll perform globally. So, basically she'll be on the road for several months and Idol auditions for next season will kick off while she's on tour. J.Lo reportedly previously signed one-year contracts with Idol. During the first season she earned $12 million and as for the second season? She's earning $20 million for this season alone.

Fox declined to comment on her future, but an insider close to the show told E! that "Fox does not want to let her go. They love her."

Just a few days ago, J.Lo publicly stated that her future with the show was unknown. She told Ellen DeGeneres, "I don't know." After adding that she enjoys it, she doesn't know if a third year is in the cards. On The Ellen DeGeneres Show she explained, "I miss doing other things. It really does lock you down."
