It’s official! Jennifer Lopez will be sandwiched between Randy Jackson and Steven Tyler for another season of American Idol. After weeks of speculation, Idol producer Nigel Lythgoe confirmed to Ryan Seacrest that three judges would be returning to the hit Fox singing competition.
Nigel called in to On Air With Ryan Seacrest today and made the announcement that J.Lo will hit the road with Randy and Steven and travel to audition cities Denver, Houston, St. Louis, Portland, San Diego, Pittsburgh and Charleston for season 11 of Idol.
“I am delighted to say that all three judges, along with the brilliant host of ‘American Idol,’ are back for the next season,” Nigel told Ryan over the phone.
Many speculated whether J.Lo would say yes to another season, with all of her other ventures and recent split from hubby of seven years, Marc Anthony.
She also expressed indecisiveness to The Hollywood Reporter, saying: ”I don’t know. I haven’t been forced to make a decision and I’m glad about that because honestly I’m very on the fence about it.”
