After the show and more tears, reporters interviewed the new champ. Jermaine told OK! going into the finale he made peace with the outcome whatever was in store for him. "You know what I told myself, I'll be okay with whatever the results will be. I wanted to go out and give the best performance ever! I told myself that I would give the best performance tonight on that stage."

Although he didn't exactly give up hope there was a chance he wasn't going to win, he told reporters he "accepted losing." The victor also pointed out he told himself he's good regardless of the outcome on the show. "I left my heart on the stage yesterday, whatever happens happens. I'm going to have a good time with my boys!"

And if you think Jermaine's the only one who's psyched, think again. After his name was called, his mentor Blake proclaimed, "I told you, buddy!" Jermaine added, "Oh man, Blake happy is like Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny and Ronald McDonald in one. It's crazy. He was so proud and happy. Blake is a good guy, he's a country boy and I respect him, I get it. I understand him."

As for another exciting moment on finale night, Jermaine got to chat with Alicia Keys on the phone! After all, he's a former backup singer for the diva. He explained, "I spoke to her and she was screaming on the top of her lungs, she made me feel like a million bucks. She's so proud of me. Mama Keys was right there."
