Jessica Simpson received a lot of harsh criticism when the new mom gained 70 pounds during her pregnancy.
The fashionista openly admitted she allowed herself to indulge in whatever she wanted thinking the weight would come off easily after giving birth to daughter Maxwell Drew.
"I got [accused of having] quadruplets, I got Octomom, a lot of people put pressure on me while I was pregnant, but I was so excited having Maxwell in my belly I didn't pay much attention," she shared last month when she was a guest cohost on Good Morning America.
When Jess didn't drop the pounds right away, she knew she had to get serious about it, so when the opportunity came her way to become the new spokesperson for Weight Watchers, she jumped at the chance to get her pre-baby body back.
And thanks to the program, the former reality star has lost 60 pounds in five months.
"She's so focused and determined," her Weight Watchers leader Liz Josefsberg tells Us Weekly. "She's very brave to do this in a healthy, more realistic way."
In addtion to her eating plan, Jess is working out four times a week with celebrity trainer Harley Pasternak.
"In over 20 years, I've never seen as consistent a weight loss," he said. "Jessica's right where she needs to be . . . She's gotten so much stronger."
Jess is on a mission to get back to her thin frame and the singer recently Tweeted that her new favorite thing to do while clocking time on the treadmill is watch Kiefer Sutherland's 24. "24 is my new treadmill show! How have I not watched this show before now?!?! Jack Bauer is my hero!"
