Last night when Jessica Simpson appeared on The Tonight Show, she promoted her new show, Fashion Star, but also talked about her pregnancy.

Jay joked, "She's about to have a baby at any minute." In fact, despite looking like she's due to give birth very soon, Jessica wore a fitted black dress and leopard-print cardigan.
In addition to telling the late-night comic that "labor is really going to hurt," she referenced a newfound respect for mothers.
"I have so much respect for my mom and all the women across the world. It's a tough thing here and I'm wearing six-inch heels. It's a lot of weight to carry on six inches."

As for finding out the big news, she discovered she was pregnant after having a few cocktails! After taking a pregnancy test, she explained, "I freaked out. I was so excited, Eric Johnson didn't even know I was doing it. He was completely shocked — he cried."

Despite not trying to get pregnant at the time, Jessica indicated they were indeed "practicing!"
And although Jess does plan to say her "I do's" with Eric at some point, she looks forward to having their baby first. "I want him to be my husband so bad. I do still want to wear the pretty gown so I have to wait... now, she'll just be in the wedding."
Fashion Star premieres tonight at 9:30 p.m. ET on NBC.
