Jodie Foster Says She's Surprised Kristen Stewart Chose to "Be An Actress"

Jodie Foster worked with Kristen Stewart when she was 12 years old on Panic Room and is apparently surprised Kristen decided to be an actress! But it's not as bad as it sounds...

“I just love Kristen Stewart, but I didn’t think she’d choose to be an actress,” Jodie told The Hollywood Reporter in their latest issue. “I said to her mom, ‘She doesn’t want that, right?’ And she’s like, ‘Well, yes, she kind of does.’"

"Because she’s very much like me: She’s not comfortable in life being a big externally, emotional person, beating her chest, crying every five minutes," Jodie explains. "I felt she was such an intelligent technician, so interested in camera – I thought that would translate to other things.”

But according to David Fincher, the director of Panic Room, Jodie had a big influence on Kristen.

“She doesn’t get a lot of credit for it, but half the time I couldn’t even get in the room because it was so crowded with cameras and all this stuff,” he said. “She is one of the great directors of children.”
