Joe Simpson, Jessica's Father, Gets Arrested For DUI

Jessica Simpson's been in the news a lot lately thanks to her cutie-patootie daughter, Maxwell Drew, and her own efforts to lose weight, but her father is making a splash in the headlines now for some not-so-good news.

Joe Simpson was pulled over in California on Aug. 4. As reported by TMZ, cops arrested him on intoxication charges. After being booked and spending the night behind bars, he was released the next day without bail.

If criminal charges are filed, he probably won't have to spend time in the slammer since this is his first alleged offense. He may end up with a big fine.
