Hear that? It's the collective sigh of relief from Justin Bieber fans everywhere, as his upcoming 3-D movie is back on track after a bit of a setback.
MTV News reports that while An Inconvenient Truth director Davis Guggenheim backed out of the project, Paramount Pictures has signed on Step-Up 3D director Jon Chu to take over the biopic effort, which will also feature concert segments.
"When I was approached about doing Justin's film, I jumped at the opportunity to tell a story with honesty and heart," says Chu. "Most people don't know that his is a true underdog story, and I hope to tell it in a compelling, genuine way, using all source materials available to convey his tale of becoming an icon for this digital age."
