Now that her new life has settled down, Katie Holmes is thinking about her heart again.
The star, whose divorce from Tom Cruise became official in August, was initially more concerned about the well-being of their daughter, Suri, 6, and getting comfortable in her new New York apartment than meeting a new man, but lately she’s been willing to date again. And it’s her father, Martin, who is leading the hunt to find his daughter a new husband!

“Katie hates being single — and her dad knows it,” discloses a longtime pal of the actress. “They have always been incredibly close, and he’s made it his mission to try to find her a new man.” Katie, 33, has reason to trust her attorney father. Martin has been credited with helping his daughter plot her escape from her unhappy union, obtain a divorce and secure primary custody of her daughter in record time.
