It's been a rocky path for Kelly Osbourne, but the E! Fashion Police host has finally hit a sweet spot.
An upbeat and put together Kelly swung by Anderson Cooper's show, Anderson, set to air on Wednesday, and revealed how the media spotlight turned her into a "very insecure" young woman who "hated" herself. She quelled the hurt with drugs and alcohol and hit rehab three times before finally kicking the habit.
"I didn't know that anything was wrong with me until the media got involved in my life. To wake up in England and have the newspaper on your front door with a headline that says, 'Ozzie's Beach Whale of a Daughter,' doesn't really do much for your self-esteem at all," she said. "I can't lie, I did a lot of really, really stupid things, and it was because it was my way of crying for help."
After abusing drugs and hurting her parents, Kelly is relieved that she's opened a new chapter. So how does she stay clean and sober these days?
"I go on the Internet and look at old pictures of myself," she said. "Because it is the best reminder of how far I have come and where I do not want to be."
Check out Kelly's interview this Wednesday at noon.
