Kelsey Grammer Talks Father's Day Plans, Makes Sure Kids are Okay at Tony's

Last night at the 65th Tony Awards before host Neil Patrick Harris rocked the Beacon Theatre, stars stopped by the red carpet and Kelsey Grammer was no exception. The Frasier star was frank with reporters and dished about Father's Day plans, wanting to make sure his kids are ok and also excitement to have kids with his newlywed, Kayte Walsh.

He told OK! she supports him in everything he does. "She sees the loving angle in almost every situation. She's an extraordinary woman and I'm as blessed as I've ever been in my life."

As for having kids, he added, "Oh I think they're very excited about the idea of having a new addition to the family. They're very very cool about it. My son, Jude, especially. He's like, "When are the children coming?"

He commented to OK! on whether or not his son will live with him: "Well I don't know yet, we'll see." Although he didn't comment on the custody battle, he did indicate, "It's going to be a long drawn out thing and it'll be turgid and unpleasant I'm sure, but not on my side." He was, however, able to dish about Father's Day plans: "I'm going to spend it with the kids. I think we're going to have a barbeque this year."

As for his priority? Not playing out his personal life in front of the cameras since "that's just respectful I think for the whole situation."

Although he "really can't say" if he'll end up being friends with Camille when all is said and done, he can comment on his fourth wife, Kayte.

"She's just amazing. She's extraordinary. A lovely human being," he told reporters. Plus, on being a newlywed for the fourth time he commented, "Like it's never happened before."

Now that the tough questions were out of the way, Kelsey was excited to be at the Tony's, especially considering he's thinking about doing another play and finds live theater to be downright thrilling! He explained, "Because theatre is the greatest trip in the world. It's instant, it's energized, it's always a challenge, it's the most extraordinary place to play."
