It’s not easy being Kendra Wilkinson-Baskett.
Not only is the reality star, 27, busy reinventing herself with her Love Candy intimates line, but she’s also feeling pressure to conceive baby #2 with hubby Hank Baskett.
The duo, who wed in 2009 after she split from Hugh Hefner, are parents to Hank Jr., 2.
“Well, a couple weeks ago, we actually had plans to actually try to work on things for baby #2, this week, actually, and this week came a little fast for us,” she told OK! Aug. 21. “This week came like it was the next day after we said it. We’re just like ‘whew!’ We’re not ready right now. We’re getting there. We’re inching our way there.”
Instead, Kendra is concentrating on making her figure as fabulous as possible.
“I am working out like I’ve never worked out in my life,” she says. “I’m doing workout training, I’m doing yoga. Little Hank’s in preschool, and I’m working out all day. [laughs]”
She’s also watching her diet.
“My show [WeTV's Kendra On Top] hasn’t been shooting me lately, so I’ve had time to get back to normal life and get back on my own routine,” she says. “Before, it was like ‘grab and eat, grab and eat.’ It’s more grazing and just eating nuts and stuff. Now I have the time to actually really think about what I’m eating. Before it was healthy, but it was all grazing. Now that I’m working out a lot, I have to really concentrate on what I put in my body.”
She continues, “I’m addicted to Trader Joe’s organic hummus, and organic veggies with it. I can eat that — that’s my lunch every day. That’s all I eat for lunch. And then, for dinner, I’ll make my own little wrap. I’m such a good wrap-maker. I’ll have a little tortilla where I put spinach on it, grilled chicken on it, broccoli and some grilled peppers. It’s so good! I’ve learned — I’ve really taken the time, and I’m healthy now.”
Spending time apart doesn’t help with baby-making, either. She recently partied with her gal pals when she hosted an evening at Harrah’s Atlantic City nightclub The Pool After Dark, where she enjoyed Belvedere cocktails and chilled shots of Patron.
Also not helping? Her passion for chick flicks.
“Oh my God, I sound so old, but we just recently saw Hope Springs. [laughs] Hank just said ‘not me.’ I went with my girlfriend, and we went to see Hope Springs. It was a complete turnoff for me. It was an amazing movie, but I could not be turned on when I got home. Usually I am, like from a hot sex scene [laughs], but not Hope Springs.”
Time to get crackin', guys!
