Even though Kim Cattrall was working to promote her new film, Meet Monica Velour, at the NYC premiere, she shared some harsh words with a reporter on the red carpet.

The Sex and the City star made a change from her Samantha Jones character for the new film and gained 20 pounds to play a porn star who lives in a trailer park.

But Kim says it's hard to get a decent job in Hollywood due to ageism.

"Ask me about being a woman," she told the New York Post. "Do you know what it's like to be 54 and marginalized? It doesn't get easier as you get older."

And it didn't get any easier for the reporter interviewing Kim.

Even though Kim's SATC character talked about bikini waxes all the time on the show, Kim had strong words for the NYP reporter when she was asked about them on the red carpet.

"That's a stupid question," she said. "You're a smart girl. How could you write that?"

Kim also added that the reporter's job was not a "respectable job."

" 'Why don't you work at — what's that news agency — Roybers?' When we corrected her, "Reuters," she conceded, 'Yeah, sorry, I've been drinking,' " the NY Post reports.

And things were made worse when the reporter admitted to not being able to see Kim's film due to meeting deadlines.

"You didn't see my film," she said at the after party. "Why are you even here?"

Well, maybe to help give her press for her new film? Mission accomplished?

What do you think of Kim's comments?
